Review: Downloading, installing and updating drivers is quite risky job unless you email a more experienced user, it is certain. And that's exactly the kind of question Device Doctor is trying to tackle that offers a user-friendly way to make it work with hardware drivers for a game. The application is designed with one goal in mind: to allow users to easily download and install new drivers for each piece of hardware hidden under their PC cases. And it does it with ease, mainly thanks to a simple interface that automatically scans your existing hardware, and allows users to select drivers to update. Device Doctor download and install new packages, no matter how many items you choose, so it can be used to update one or more items at once. What's more, thanks to fairly basic settings screen application also start a scan at system startup, and see if any driver update is available automatically. In addition, you can create scheduled scans, either daily, weekly or on certain days. While everything sounds like milk and honey, it is not and Device Doctor is missing some critical features that may play an important role in such an application. For example, it creates a restore point or backup that everything is fine after updating the drivers, then you must perform the task manually every time. Which is quite comfortable when configuring scheduled scans. Overall Device Doctor is actually a handy piece of software, but as you can see, there are still some areas that need improvement here and there. It does what it says itself and works like a charm for all Windows versions.
