| Review: Img2CAD is a program with a pretty self explanatory name - it can help you flip the picture files (such as BMP, JPG, TIF, GIF, PNG, PCX) in AutoCAD documents (DXF). But the tool can also convert objects to EMF, WMF, TXT and HPGL (Hewlett-Packard Graphics Language). Apps like this can be useful if you have taken pictures of a graphic design and want to deal with it in AutoCAD, for example. The application is wrapped in a clean and intuitive interface. Adding items to the list of files can be done using the file manager, display folder, or drag and drop functionality. Working with multiple elements simultaneously is possible. The file queue demonstrates source path, initial size and status of each image. If you want to leave the default settings unchanged, so you can immediately start the conversion after the establishment of the output folder and format. Otherwise, you can access the settings and enter thinner location (midline or template), to the extent that the original threshold color, tolerance and objects can be identified (bow, dotted line, circle, polyline, arrows, hatch). Additionally, you can include subfolders and set Img2CAD to overwrite existing files and open the target directory when all tasks are completed. Graphics processing tool is very responsive, includes user documentation and operate on a low amount of system resources. Img2CAD not give us any problems during our tests, such as freezing, crashing or popping up error dialogs. Output documents have good graphics quality. Overall Img2CAD proves to be a reliable software to build AutoCAD objects from images. It can be seamless manipulated, even by less experienced people. |
